Our Story
Our story begins two
generations ago. My grandmother, Malvina, a very avant-garde woman, was
a pharmacist in Northern France. People would come from miles around to
purchase her herbal concoctions. She eventually met an adventurous man
and together they moved to Quebec, Canada. There, they had 12 children,
the youngest, Germaine, was my mother.
My childhood memories are of my
grandmother and my mother concocting herbal blends for soaps and salves.
Our house was always filled with the scents of lavender, calendula and
other delicious olfactory pleasures.
I enjoyed my childhood in Canada but in
due time, the wanderlust in my genes took me to the Caribbean where I
eventually met a man from Colorado.
In 1997, I arrived in Colorado with my
new husband and my thoughts wandered back to my happy days as a child.
In December of 1997, Madame Renaud
Naturals was launched. I began by making homemade soaps in my kitchen
from old recipes supplied to me by my mother. The soaps were such a
success that I eventually added other products.
I soon had to leave my little kitchen
and purchased a big old warehouse building in downtown
Loveland.
Today, Madame Renaud Naturals products
and our trademarked Colour Me Hydrated Tanning Innovation products are sold across
the US and in 12 countries.
